Chad and I went skiing with our friends this week. It was really great. I only totally hated it for 20 seconds or so, when I was going way too fast and was unable to stop, before I crashed. "I feel totally out of control right now guys! Um, I don't have any control guys! I AM OUT OF CONTROTHUMPSMASHBANGSCRAPECRYCRYCRY"
But by and large, it was totally awesome. Kristina emerged as the patient teacher and we all learned a ton from her. I like skiing way better than snowboarding, for those keeping score.
We are making a concerted effort to go and do things, to have fun before we start having kids and aren't allowed to have fun anymore. Next weekend, we are off to California, what with the coast and the redwoods. I had to hurry back to work when we drove up here from AZ last summer, so we didn't have time to take the 101 up the coast like we were planning.
But all will be restored. We have a big year of fun to be had. New York, Alaska, Paris, Arizona, Illinois...
I know, I know, you want to tell me, "Ok, WE GET IT. You're in love. You're happy. blah blah," but I'm not doing telling you about it yet.
