i remember my dad trying to explain to me the concept of bias in news reporting. among the worst offenders? CNN (namely, their Channel 1 teen news program broadcasted in high school) and NPR. i remember, as a kid, having such a hard time believing that there was a slant to the reporting on NPR because, i figured, they sounded so boring. how could they convey bias with no personality and all of the charm of a bag of sawdust?
oh, how much i've learned. i love my media elite. and i love that we're about to have a president that we can be proud of. all the charm of bill clinton without that annoying face and those pesky extramarital affairs.
